Witnesses Sought in the Death of a Local Minister Following Fatal Crane Collision in Garden City, Texas

Elderly couple killed after being rear-ended by an oversized commercial crane truck; law firm asks anyone with information to come forward

GARDEN CITY, TX, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The law firm of Zinda Law Group has filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the family of James and Katherine Trask. James and Katherine were ministers in the First Assembly of God Church and resided in Lubbock, Texas. The couple was struck and killed by a crane being transported on August 11, 2026, near the intersection of TX-137 and County Road 110 in Garden City, Texas. The lawsuit, filed in the 138th District Court of Cameron County, Case No. 2026-DCL-04868, names Triple B Crane, LLC and Daniel Olvera as defendants.

According to the complaint, Katherine Trask was driving northbound on State Highway 137 from Big Lake toward Midland with her husband, James Trask Jr., as a passenger, when their vehicle was rear-ended by a crane truck owned by Triple B Crane. Trask and James Trask Jr. Died as a result of their injuries. Local police and EMS responded to the crash.
